[:1]Hi and welcome to the Incgamers Guild Wars News forum!





The news forum is a place to post and discuss Guild Wars news only. More general discussion about new stuff happening in the game should be kept in the general discussion forum.



Of course, news can come in all shapes and forms. To make it easier to navigate we have therefore set up a few basic rules:



First of all

This is a MODERATED forum, meaning new threads created here will not show up until a mod has approved them. So don't be alarmed when your thread doesn't show up right away. No need to double post! Posting in existing threads may occur as normal, the approval only applies to new threads.



Content

You can post news from either professional media outlets, official ArenaNet news or community generated content such as blogs. The only criteria are that the news are NEW and RELEVANT. I will use my discretion when approving. Sometimes a new thread is not needed if it is only a small thing, maybe it can be added to an existing news item. This is particularly true for the large convention collection threads.



Some reccurring content, like blogs dedicated to GuildWars, has a dedicated collection thread. If you have news from these outlets, please post in the collection thread in stead of creating a new thread. As of today, the collection threads are:

[GuildCast] Rubi and Shawn podcast

[GuildMag] GuildMag collection thread

[Massively] Flameseeker chronicles

[Talk Tyria] Collection thread

In addition, all large conventions will also get a collection thread. (Pax 2011, Gamescom 2011 etc)

If you want to suggest a new collection thread, please send me a PM.





Naming

Each new thread title MUST start with the source within brackets at the start.

Example: [Incgamers] Awesome interview with ANet devs



If a source has a common acronym, please use that in stead of the full name.

[GW2PvP] GuildWars2 PvP

[GWI] Guild Wars Insider

[KTR] Kill Ten Rats

[MMORPG] mmorpg.com

[TTH] Ten Ton Hammer

[TWIMMO] This Week In MMOs

About the [Incgamers News Item] tag

[:1]Just a small heads up that the threads marked [Incgamers News Item] are automatic cross-posts from the Guild Wars:Incgamers main page.

I will leave those threads open here in the forum to allow comments, although we would greatly appreciate if you could try to comment those items directly on the main page as well/in stead (it is the same login as here, no extra login needed).

You know, to get up traffic a bit, which in turn could help us build the site to be better for everyone.

[ANet] Twitter tidbits

[:1]one way to get small but effective news on the boards is by watching the twits on the GW2 twitter page, but to go there and hope there is just that small thing of news is kinda not needed.

so i decided to keep up this thread to add twitter messages so we can discuss them, it will cut away a whole lot of unnecessary thread making and it's a good way to filter out the bad from the good messages.

This thread is hereby the official thread for posting small, but interesting, tidbits coming out of official ArenaNet twitter accounts.

I would ask though that people try to post the entire interesting tweet in a quote, since it makes it easier to follow.
