Fastest Underworld clear No PVE Skills - 12th April, 1.6m in total prizes.

There has been lots of discussion recently on how fast can a team clear an elite Area. So the DVDF alliance has decided to sponsor a timed NORMAL MODE UNDERWORLD Clear.

We chose NM because it allows more choice of team build, opens it up to more teams and yet still requires a reasonable degree of skill and tactics to complete in a good time

The Event will Start on April 12th starting at 17:00 GMT and end When the last team has completed their runs. Which will be no later than 08:00 GMT on Sunday 13th.

The prizes

Prizes for the fastest run will be

  • 100 lockpicks per person equates to 125K, per person

  • Second prize will be 25 picks+5e each second prize. Equates to about 55K per person

  • Third Prize will be 3rd 40K cash per player

To add to the fun nature of the event, the following prizes will also be available.
  • The team that demonstrates the most innovative build/tactics that manages to complete the UW will get 10K per player

  • The team who demonstrates the most heroism(e.g successfully soloing 4 horsemen when all the team are dead etc) in the run will receive a purple Crystalline sword(Q13 15-22,dmg+14%(ench) and Ench lasts 17% longer) as a team prize plus 2 ecto per player

In all cases the decision of the judges is final.

The Results will be announced Monday 14th April, no indication of the winning times will be given until the result is announced.|||The Rules will be

1. No PvE skills. Teams that use PvE skills will be disqualified. E.g No Ursan, Save yourself, TNTF etc etc

2. No teams containing DVDF members will be allowed(this is so as to ensure demonstrable impartiality)

3. No Heroes. I.e Human players only.

4. A maximum of two restarts are allowed. As soon as a team completes UW, that then becomes their final time.

5. All teams must have 1 DVDF referee in them. Should the referee error out then the team must restart(clock starts from zero in this case and it does not count as a restart(see rule 4))

6. Timer starts as soon as the first monster is aggro'd

7. Timer ends as soon as the victory message appears.

8. Ressing the referee at the end would be a nice gesture.

9. Teams can keep whatever drops.

10. Since we cannot fully police the use of consumables, reluctantly they are allowed.

11. Teams have 30 minutes to prepare for their attempt once formed up.

12. Teams that exceed their start time by 30 mins(unless delayed by a referee) will be required to start anyway with what players they have, or forfiet their run.

13. Team leaders will be given the name of their referee and a confirmed start time at a minimum 30 mins before. This gives teams at least an hour to form up.

14. The Teams will pay the entry fee to UW.

15. Teams MUST follow the referees directions.

Since every team has to have a referee, the team size has to be a maximum of SEVEN. So your build and tactics will need to be built to that team size.

Remember SEVEN people is the most you can bring

In test runs the average time we have found for a seven person, no PvE skills clear is around 52 minutes. This isnt presented as a target but as a guideline to help people plan and schedule their attempt.

Because each time requires a referee the number of team slots is limited. There will be 28 teams, 14 posted on GWO and 14 posted on Guru and you may have to wait for a referee to be free before you can start, so please be patient.

Please reply in the post the following

1. Slot number

2. Team name

3. In game contact name

4. Timezone and preferred start time

Please remember that spaces are limited, so dont just rush to fill in a spot. Only do so if you KNOW you can get a team to compete, also if you register here there is no need to do so on GURU.

Not sure what team I would be on but:

Slot 1

GMT - 7 Any time would be fine.

Question: Would the referree die in the first room, or how would that work?|||The ref would die in the first room, or as soon as possible and in such a way so as not to endanger the team. In the runs we did the easiest way was to hide at Benton, wait until the chamber was clear then run off towards the Twin serpents. That way no aggro is bought back to the rest of the team.|||Quote:

Ok thanks.

*points @ previous post*

Did I do that correctly?|||Thanks for posting this Shanaeri; it sounds like uber-fun. I believe that the HRK alliance might be interested, I'll have to see if we have a solid 7-person team before committing to a slot though.

Just to confirm, it appears like this is first-come, first-serve with a max of 28 teams; did I understand that correctly? There's no sign-up deadline or anything?|||Hi, we'll look forward to your attempt. Should be a lot of fun. Yes i'm afraid the list is first come, first served. I did'nt add a reserve list in case of no shows, as it can mean people just hanging around waiting for a PM that will never come. If people do drop out, then i'll free their place up, and lock the list down on the Friday 11th.|||Aw... I'm sure my guild would love to try this, but I'll be out of town that weekend. Maybe I'll point them this way anyways.|||Awesome idea! I'm looking into this as well.|||I will be up for it although I have a feeling my guild will not be. If anyone needs an extra player feel free to PM me with the IGN "Laurana Zail". I will be up to play either Mesmer, Ranger or Ritualist (Mesmer would be prefered).
