[PCGamer]UK October issue has GW2 on the cover

[:1]The October issue (out now) of PC Gamer UK has got one fierce-looking Charr on the cover.

Dont know if there are anything actually new inside, but someone who has it maybe can share?

(Observe though; NO SCANS allowed!)

In any case, it is mainstream gaming media coverage, so, GO GW2!|||Rytlock makes a great centerfold. I'd hang that poster in my bunkbed for sure.|||So wish i had gone into my local WHSmith today while i was in town......kicking myself now....

I'll see if they have any in tomorrow, and presuming no one else has posted by then, I'll see if i can bring any new info to the table, that's as long as they have it in stock.

Worth it just for the cover art imo, would so love a poster of that

[ EDIT ]

Picked up the Magazine this morning, sadly there isn't any new info on GW2 inside, the writer of the article was simply giving his impressions of the game from a Hamburg press event where they got to play the demo / Catacombs dungeon.

It's mostly an article aimed at people who aren't knowledgeable about Guild Wars 2, so it doesn't contain much info for people who follow the regular updates.

Only bit that's new to me personally and not listed on the wiki is a Dynamic event inside the catacombs.

Quote:

I was admiring a sparkly cave wall when that wall collapsed in front of me.

Through it burst a cave troll: one of the dungeon's dynamic events. "That troll might have appeared somewhere else, or not at all," relayed our raid leader helpfully as it punched me in the face.

"I don't know if you noticed, but our dynamic events are very visual." Yes Eric, i did notice, thanks. Your dynamic events are so visual they tried to eat me.

The rest of the section had similar reviews with other up coming MMO's "Wildstar", "The Old Republic" and "The Secret World".

The only other bit that caught my attention was their claim that GW2 will be out within 12 months time.

On the opening page of "Clash of the MMO's" they have a small write up before each of the main reviews of the up coming MMO's.

Quote:

In the next twelve months, PC gamers will be treated to half a dozen new worlds to explore, each filled with adventure. The only question is which one we should devote our time to. Will it be Guild Wars 2? that hooks us into a new fantasy world?"

Then on Guild Wars 2's Review page it says "Release: Spring 2012"

Not gonna jump the gun on this one since it has not come from ANET themselves, but they have given PC gamer exclusives before (Movement of the world back in 2007) so even though its not a specific date, it could be a time frame of expected release.

Still I'm gonna take that with a pinch of salt until ANET actually give a date.

So yeah that's pretty much the extent of the 2 page article, at least it's giving GW2 some more publicity since it made the front cover.
