[ANet] Behind the Scenes of German Voice Acting

[:1]Just as ArenaNet showed us a "Behind the Scenes of the English voice acting",

today they decided to show us one of the German voice acting.

Personally, I prefer the English ALOT more, but I guess the German ones will do.

Especially Rytlock's voice isn't bad at all.

Today wed like to share a very special behind-the-scenes look at the German voice acting for Guild Wars 2. As youll see in this German language video, weve taken great care and effort to make sure that our voice acting in other languages matches the spirit and quality of the original English voice work. Our European fans are extremely important to us, so we thought youd enjoy this closer look at Guild Wars 2 in Deutsch. Even if you dont speak German, its well worth the look!

|||I wonder if anyone could enjoy this video without at least some basic understanding of German.

If I'm not completely mistaken, the voice actor for Rytlock also gave his voice to Xardas in the first 3 Gothic RPGs from Piranha Bytes.|||Quote:

I did. I loved the charr one. They really get into it. Besides, need translation? Go view the english one. Not like it's a different video.|||Some of them have already worked on Guild Wars (Logan's voice did player voices, Caithe's voice did Gwen in EotN) and three of the 5 share the same Berlin based agency. Some of them work in Hamburg though.

I wish I knew which studio the use in Germany so I can cross reference with dubbing of TV series that have good or bad dubbing / voice talents.

The German voices in GW have not been bad in the past, so I am not "worried" they will sound awful.
