Apparently not many people have heard of it before, plus its final episode was in March. And this is a radio show anyway.. more akin to Weapon of Choice, except probably with a lot less swearing..|||Sounds cool. Will check it out, fo sho.|||Sounds interesting. I'd consider calling it something else so as not to confuse it with the real GuildCast. Since it's not technically a podcast, but a radio show, is there already a Guild Radio?|||Quote:

No kidding. The "real" Guildcast reached almost 100 shows, and they still have the domain and forums up with over 1000 members. And who's to say that the host won't start up the podcast again when GW2 comes out?|||Yes, the name has already been taken.
You should call it something like Pod Wars or Guild Radio instead.|||I don't see why it matters what it's called when that other Guildcast has been over since March..|||I don't know. In my opinion, like capn pointed out, the domain and forums are still up, so the real Guildcast is still a "thing". And since it's a radio show, not a podcast, the name doesn't fit.
The real GuildCast had something like 6,000 listeners at it's peak, and it seems that this show using that name could backfire. I don't think this is what they are doing, but people could easily think the hosts were using the Guildcast name for how recognizable it is, to build a listener base more quickly. Again, I'm not saying that's what they are doing, I'm just pointing out that it could mislead some people, and leave them unhappy.
Did anyone involved in this radio show ask the guy who "owns" the real Guildcast if this is okay with him?
